I have been
involved with beading since I was a child and worked with Indian
looms. Since then, beading has become my passion. I am very
patient and have been teaching for six years. I enjoy working
with wire wrapping, seed bead projects, pearl knotting, silver
soldering, art clay, enameling, glass fusing, and chain making.
I went to design
school in Boston, MA, got married and had a son that I home
schooled through high school. When he left for college, I
started teaching Jewelry making at Michaels Arts and Crafts
Store and also started teaching private classes in my home
studio. I have taken several jewelry and beading classes, have a
certificate from AIG for pearl grading, and have my teaching
certificate from Art Clay. I have also taught at the Sylvester
Cancer Center at the University of Miami, senior citizen
handicapped centers, The Gem and Mineral Society of Palm Beach,
Bead Society of Palm Beach, and in Columbia, South America. I
speak Spanish and am now learning Italian.
