How often will the Bead Cruise sail?
2008 is the inaugural sailing and plans for the 2009 European Bead Cruise are underway as well.

Can I book a cabin on the cruise directly with Royal Caribbean?
No, you must book your cruise through Dream 'n Travel to participate in the European Bead Cruise events and private parties.

Would I be able to teach a class on the cruise?
If you are interested in teaching,  please contact Kathy Fox at (630) 305-8232 before October 15th.

Am I able to attend the open beading workshops or classes if I'm not registered as a European Bead Cruise participant?
Unfortunately not. Only those who have previously registered are eligible to attend the workshops and classes. Space is limited and class materials must be purchased prior to sailing.

How do I book the cruise if I do not have a roommate?
The Cruise is based on double occupancy per cabin. We will do everything we can to pair you up with another European Bead cruise participant. Please call Dream 'n Travel to discuss your options.

If I have never been on a cruise, what are the chances I will get sea sick?
The Royal Caribbean fleet of ships all have stabilizers, which makes the ship feel as if it were gliding across the sea. If you are concerned, please contact your doctor regarding the options available for motion sickness.

What is the tipping policy for the European Bead Cruise?
So that you may thank those who have made your cruise vacation better than you could have imagined, Royal Caribbean developed these gratuity guidelines:

Stateroom Attendant $3.50 a day per guest
Dining Room Waiter $3.50 a day per guest
Assistant Waiter $2.00 a day per guest
Headwaiter $.75 a day per guest
Note: These gratuities apply to guests of all ages. A 15% gratuity will automatically be added to your bar bill or wine check when you are served. The above are merely guidelines from Royal Caribbean. The ship's service staff depend on tip money for the majority of their salary, so if you experience exceptional service, feel free to express your appreciation by exceeding these recommendations. Gratuities may be charged to your account or paid in cash.

Who plans the European Bead Cruise classes and activities?
Kathy Fox has planned and organized the European Bead Cruise. She and her husband, David, own the largest direct import company for Venetian glass beads in the country, Bella Venetian Beads (www.bellavenetianbeads.com). It is as a result of a passion for cruising and the love of Venetian beads that the concept for the European Bead Cruise was born. Kathy believes cruising is the best vacation experience possible and wants to share this with friends and other bead enthusiasts from around the world.
